Changing Logos

I made these signs several years ago but recently the company changed its logo. I took these pictures back in March, after I peeled off the old logo and put up the new one. Cut vinyl is the perfect medium if you want long lasting signs that are serviceable in this way.

Note to long time clients: Many of you know that the netzero e-mail address has been giving me headaches. I have, at long last, changed my e-mail address in the header here to match my personal e-mail. No more lost designs and headaches. Sorum Tractor Truck Lettering

Here's a truck I recently lettered. Sorum Tractor is one of our oldest clients. Over the years we've updated company logo a little as the company's needs have changed. Some of the product logos have changed a little as well. I letter these trucks on site because they have nice roomy garages and it's more convenient for them than having an employee deliver the truck to me. This arrangement works well with several of our local clients.

There are several things an open house accomplishes and signs can help you meet those goals. You want to show your current clients how much you care. Of course, you want to sell the house, and also you want to meet lots of new potential clients. A really big banner is an inexpensive and versatile way to drive more traffic to your open house. You can attach it to a fence, your own vehicle (as shown here) or put a V-shaped banner on poles in front of the house.

This 12" wide by 18" tall corrugated plastic sign can be placed at an intersection or on a busy road to direct traffic to your event. There are quantity discounts for corrugated plastic signs, so you can order lots of them.

These thinner corrugated plastic signs are an inexpensive way to get a message across. When Pro Lube ordered these they asked for cheap, durable signs that wouldn't be bothered by the water.

I made this quick-hem banner for the Viper Band and shipped it to Austin. All through September 2009 I'll be having a sale on quick-hem banners like this one. Corrugated Plastic Signs

I realize it has been a while since I posted anything new. July was a very busy month and Andy and I go backpacking smack in the middle of it, so I probably should have realized that I'd need to take a break from the website.

Here is a sign I made before I went on vacation. I made it from 1/2 inch thick corrugated plastic, which is a very durable and very inexpensive material. The client plans to mount it on posts.

Vista Grande

This sign will be put on posts at the Vista Grande development. I was asked for a functional sign and given the wording but after showing the client some ideas we decided to add a few graphics and some color. Adding a little color in the lettering doesn't cost anything and can do a lot for the message. If this were all in black and had no graphics it wouldn't grab attention as well.

Valley Lock Door Lettering

When Valley Lock and Security had to replace the door, they decided to keep the lettering the same, except they asked for a couple of skeleton keys to add some decorative interest. Since I keep all of my old files archived I was able to match the previous door with very little trouble.

Great Legal Help, Car Window

I did this window for Everardo Gaxiola. Car window lettering is a good idea if you are afraid that you'll have lettering on your car long enough for the paint to fade but you also know you are going to want to sell the vehicle. We've changed the wording and added and adjusted the graphics for this window several times as Everardo's marketing needs have changed.

Wal*Mart Eye Center Banner

This is a quick hem banner. Unlike my standard banners these come in a limited variety of sizes and only come with white a background. However, I can get one to you in about twenty-four hours, while the standard banners take a week, or sometimes longer. These are hemmed with a very strong double-sided tape but are not meant for permanent outdoor use. For an occasional parade, a one time event, or temporary usage like the eye clinic banner, this style of banner is great.

Rio Grande Scenic Railroad

This is one of my standard double-stitched banners. This one is over 25 feet long. If you order a standard banner that's bigger than ten feet you get a heavier material and reinforced corners at no extra cost. You need them to counteract the extra stress put on a banner that big. Remember, you can also get a colored background for one of these banners at no extra cost. Check with me to see what colors are available as this sometimes changes. I have samples I can show you.

If you look off to the right you'll see the Colorado Welcome Center sign. I cut the vinyl lettering for that sign and the welcome center made the sign itself from painted plywood. This is a very inexpensive way to get a sign but painted plywood doesn't last long in the weather here. Still, since the Welcome Center will be moving across the street in the next year or so, it shouldn't be a problem.

Gray Goose Fabrics

We installed this sign at the back door of Gray Goose Fabrics a few years ago. Shaped signs cost a little more but using something other than a boring rectangle adds interest to a sign. I'd love to do one shaped like an ice cream cone or a book.

Breaking Ground

I donated these logos, based on some rough sketches created by a member of the organization, to Breaking Ground. This is a group in the Denver area that turns empty lots into vegetable gardens in order to feed the hungry. I'll put a link up for them in the sidebar when they have their web site up and running. I feel like they are a very worthy cause.

I installed this sign yesterday. It is made out of an aluminum laminated plastic core material that I like for panel signs that will be installed on buildings. This material is very lightweight and easy to handle as well as long lasting and attractive.

This is the logo and business card I designed as a favor to my husband. Through Andy we can have a logo placed on just about any product you might need, from T-shirts and ball caps to flashlights and i-pods.
